As a Configuration Specialist on the HERA team, which manages the Talent module, including Recruiting in Workday, I work closely with business partners to understand their needs and make configuration changes based on their requests. I am responsible for handling around five to eight configuration tasks each sprint, ensuring that each change aligns with business requirements and Workday best practices. These tasks include updating or creating job requisitions, modifying business processes, adjusting security settings, and configuring offer letter templates. I carefully review each request, analyze the impact of the change, and test the configuration in the Workday test environment before moving it to production. Work with business teams to understand what changes they need in Workday. Make updates or changes in Workday based on business needs (like job applications, hiring steps, approvals).Configure modules such as Recruiting, Talent, Onboarding, and others. Create or update job requisitions, offer letters, and business processes. Test all configuration changes in the test system before going live. Fix any issues found during testing or after changes are live. Document all changes made, including why the change was needed and what was updated. Keep records of tasks completed and changes made in each sprint. Work with other teams (like security or integrations) if a change affects multiple parts of Workday. Help users understand how to use new features or updates in the system. Review and analyze the current setup to suggest improvements. Follow best practices to make sure the system stays clean and organized. Make sure all changes meet company rules and Workday standards. My focus is on accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all updates are properly documented and thoroughly tested to support smooth and efficient HR operations.
