About Scott Townsend

We all had our career dreams and aspirations growing up. Mine? Architect. Photographer. Or, secretly, playing second base for a Bay Area baseball team dressed in orange and black. But my dad, my hero, was an ad guy and agency owner. He saw a different path, and pointed me in that direction: brand marketing and communications.So, with a degree in Advertising Management, I set off to cut my teeth in New York City at a big shop, then back to the West to further a career in advertising and marketing. I worked in production, media, and ultimately account management. I lived agency life for a number of years. Small, medium, large. Franchise marketing, packaged goods, technology, sports, entertainment, education enrollment.But, then I jumped. Client-side. Corporate marketing. My love of brand flourished. And I’ve been privileged to work in marketing groups for large industry pioneers, as well as emerging industry disruptors. I’ve led teams of marketing strategists, marcom and event professionals, and talented creatives around the globe, even living as an expat in the UK managing international marketing. I may not be playing middle-infield for a professional ball team. But I’m building global brands with meaning and relevance; growing teams focused on moving business forward according to corporate objectives.
