About Ryan Gallus

Currently a Sr. Software Engineer at Prodx, I studied at Iowa State University, completing a BS in Computer Engineering and a concurrent MBA while graduating with Honors and Distinction. I was chosen as the Class of 2018 Distinguished Engineering Graduate.On campus, I was a leader in various organizations and activities. I founded the ISU Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and served in various leadership roles. I worked as a Community Adviser for two years, spent a semester abroad at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, and held leadership roles in the Honors Program, Dance Marathon, and Student Admissions Representatives.While completing my degrees, I gained meaningful experience in the technology industry. I worked as a Software Engineering Intern at the Iowa DOT, Cerner, and IBM before working as a Project Management Intern at Boeing.Following graduation I worked as a Product Manager for Spreetail. I was responsible for the development, strategic vision, and continued support of various products that powered the ecommerce business. I worked to ensure our software was valuable to our users, feasible for the engineering team, and viable for our business.After nearly two years at Spreetail, I returned to Iowa to work as a Product Manager for Hy-Vee\'s Digital team. I helped build a new software team called Customer Motivation with a focus on making it easier for new and returning customers to shop for their groceries online. After short time with Hy-Vee, the opportunity came to return to Spreetail as a Technical Product Manager, combining my software engineering background with my business and product experience.
