About R. Scott Adams

After 11 years of rewarding work with The Gateway Academy, I left to start a new program, or perhaps to pursue the natural evolution of my position at Gateway. ADVANCE is an opportunity for young men and women to be immersed into the natural environment of their age group with the coaching and support they need to be successful.\"Failure to launch\" is a growing issue among young men and women on the autistic spectrum as well as those with other combinations of social and learning differences. As their parents age we know that many of these youth are destined for institutional living or homelessness. ADVANCE teaches and supports the key skills involved with independent living, acquiring and retaining work, and building social networks and connectivity. I still have a heart for my \"Gateway children\" who attend the school I helped found and would love to share my experiences and regale you with all of my (hard learned) life lessons. While we are on that topic, I can tell you more about how we can impact the lives of young adults in the ADVANCE program!
