About Renu Sanjana Bommisetty
I’m a B.Tech student at the College of Engineering Pune (COEP), pursuing Manufacturing and Sciences Engineering, with a 98.78 percentile score in MHT-CET. I’m driven by curiosity — fascinated by physics, space, and the workings of the world — and motivated by a love for problem-solving, creativity, and continuous learning. From a young age, I’ve explored both the sciences and the arts. I’ve played musical instruments, danced, and developed strong skills in drawing and painting. These experiences nurtured my patience, creativity, and attention to detail. Over the years, I’ve also cultivated an active interest in sports, particularly volleyball, which has strengthened my teamwork, discipline, and resilience. I value active listening as one of my core strengths — it helps me collaborate effectively, learn deeply, and connect meaningfully with people. My interests go beyond academics. I enjoy stories of all kinds — romance, horror, thrillers — and find inspiration in music, visual arts, and life’s diverse experiences. I believe that a well-rounded approach to life fuels better ideas, sharper thinking, and deeper problem-solving abilities, making me a more complete engineer and professional.Alongside my engineering studies, I’m a passionate beginner social media designer, focused on helping small businesses grow through creative, high-impact content. I specialize in designing Instagram posts — from bold offer posters for salons and cafés to clean, branded visuals that build trust and engagement. I’ve already created real posts for local-style businesses, experimenting with layouts, typography, and storytelling to produce designs that resonate with audiences. My engineering background gives me a structured, analytical approach to design, while my creative side ensures each project is both visually compelling and strategically effective.I’m open to opportunities that allow me to merge my technical skills with my creative capabilities — whether that’s in engineering projects, content creation, or multidisciplinary collaborations. In the future, I hope to contribute to impactful innovations, explore space and science-related projects, and continue building my expertise in both the technical and creative spheres.Whether in the lab, at the design desk, on the volleyball court, or in creative spaces, I bring curiosity, discipline, and a willingness to learn. I’m ready to collaborate, create, and explore — always asking “why,” and always aiming to make a difference.

Inducted as a first-year Manufacturing (M Group) student into the Rocket Propulsion Centre at COEP Technological University, a student-led initiative focused on the research, design, fabrication, and testing of solid rocket propulsion systems. As part of the Manufacturing vertical, I am gaining hands-on exposure to the fabrication and assembly of rocket motor components and structural subsystems. My involvement includes interpreting engineering drawings, understanding dimensional tolerances, assisting in machining processes such as turning, drilling, and basic milling operations, and supporting quality inspection using precision measuring instruments.Through active collaboration with propulsion and structures teams, I am developing a foundational understanding of solid rocket motor architecture, including motor casing requirements, nozzle geometry basics, material selection criteria, and structural integrity considerations under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions. Exposure to pressure containment principles and basic stress analysis concepts has strengthened my understanding of how manufacturing precision directly impacts propulsion performance and safety.I am also familiarizing myself with workshop safety standards, documentation practices, and structured fabrication workflows followed during subsystem development and static testing preparation. Observing test setups and post-test evaluations has helped me connect theoretical propulsion concepts with real-world performance data. This experience is enabling me to bridge classroom fundamentals in materials science and manufacturing processes with practical aerospace applications, while continuously building technical discipline, attention to detail, and a systems-level engineering mindset.
