At my current position as the Health and Safety Manager for Arla Foods Canada (ON, BC and QC), I have been leading a diverse variety of Health and Safety projects including: Covid-19 safety plan, risk assessments, site security, sustainability strategy, environmental initiatives, JHSC, safety communications and training, WSIB, STD and LTD claims management, incident investigation, Health and Safety audits, safety culture and behavioral safety program launch in addition to creating effective leading and lagging indicators to monitor health and safety performance and manage the overall program. My biggest priority has been ensuring the prevention of injuries and promoting wellbeing while building strong partnership with the stakeholders and functional teams.My academic and professional background have equipped me with the necessary skills to be a Subject Matter Expert which have helped my employers cut down on costs. This is demonstrated through managing projects internally instead of hiring third party consultants, such as completing Manual Material Handling (MMH) assessments, gap analysis, designing lockout/tagout placards, training materials, posters and signage. Furthermore, I have led a number of cost saving initiatives such as having a new partnership with a Prescription Safety Glasses provider and a new agreement with electronic Safety Data Sheet (SDS) software as well as a learning management software.I am a self-motivated individual, who takes initiatives and have an eye for detail.
