ABOUT RACHEL RUBENSTEIN VOLKMANN
As a 5th grade teacher at Hopkins Public Schools and a content leader at Teach for America Twin Cities, I have nearly 10 years of experience in delivering high-quality education to diverse and underserved students. I am passionate about dismantling oppressive practices and policies that exist within the education system and creating inclusive and equitable learning environments for all learners.I am a strong instructional leader with a solid foundation in best practices for all content areas, with a particular focus on inquiry-based instruction. I excel at cultivating and maintaining positive and productive relationships with all educational stakeholders, including parents, students, administrators, and the community. I am also a skilled practitioner who continues to expand my knowledge of current best practices through both professional and personal development. I was named a finalist for the 2022 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award, which recognized my commitment and contribution to the field of education.
