About Rouzbeh Shirvani

I’m Rouzbeh—an ML, software, and electrical engineer based in Mountain View, CA. I train and build production ML systems end-to-end.Recently I’ve focused on hardware-aware ML: optimizing Transformer-based models for efficient inference on embedded devices; designing and shipping model-conversion tooling; and delivering ML features that bridge firmware, software, and user experience.Outside of my technical field, I’ve worn many hats: hiring and growing engineering teams, supporting technical diligence in acquisitions, meeting customers across Europe and North America, negotiating partnerships, and working tightly with Product, Sales, Operations, and Marketing to turn technical work into revenue.

   At Syntiant, I am working on bringing in new machine learning capabilities to Syntiant’s neural processors. Moreover, I work with our stakeholders in order to bring in new solutions to their unique machine learning problems. Lastly, I write the ML software that our chip needs in order to run trained models.
