ABOUT ROZA VASILEVA

Roza Vasileva is a Senior Digital Innovations and Engagement Specialist at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. She has over ten years of experience in digital development and open data consulting for the World Bank and other international organizations, supporting open government data and digital government projects in more than a dozen countries across Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.With a PhD in Digital Economy from the University of Nottingham, UK, Roza\'s research interests are in using data, especially open government data and citizen-generated data, for designing citizen-centric smart sustainable cities in emerging economies. She is currently leading the From Disclosure to Development (D2D) projects in Sierra Leone and Guinea, which aim to leverage data disclosure and stakeholder engagement to improve infrastructure investments outcomes and impact. She also coordinated the first African Drone Forum in Rwanda, showcasing the potential of drones for development. Roza\'s skills and competencies include international development, project management, stakeholder engagement, research, strategy and policy development, and capacity building.
