Leading the CI & A (Cloud Infrastructure & Acquisition) MEA Delivery Team: • Define, drive & set fibre delivery standards for Microsoft within the EMEA • Delivery of large scale & complex Metro & Long-Haul Dark Fiber across the EMEA • Delivered and accepted over of new build network in 12 months across the EMEA • Fiber Delivery, Design, and fibre delivery models • Comprehend IP Network & capacity needs, produce high level scope of works to meet day one capacity requirements • Technical validation of all new research proposals • Front end discussions on all new large-scale projects and deliveries • Structure the communications & reporting for internal cross functional teams & management • Develop & maintain vendor relations at senior level of operations • Perform & instruct acute fibre analysis & acceptance of all fibre deliveries • Attend local regions to complete pre-contractual surveys, impart fibre standards, and complex project deliverables • Acceptance and sign-off on all fibre deliveries & orders • Provide technical guidance and process introduction to better align working practices • Responsible for the transformational change of fibre delivery within Microsoft for the MEA • Support & manage the colocation deliverables, Space and power, racks within the Datacentre Critical environment • Management and supervision of risk, mitigation scenarios, and resistive permitting and wayleaves • Provide project implementation plans and scheduling for regional fibre buildouts and new provisions • Evaluate and validate fibre network designs prior to issuance for and contract execution • Manage & track project deliveries against, time, resource, cost expenditure, milestones and permitting • Provide technical guidance & direction to vendors and contract staff on daily issues faced within network deployment • Site supervision on fibre, civils, H&S, and QA checks • Review site survey documentation and attend site surveys where necessary within MEA.
