It was established to protect, certify and advance the science of genuine New Zealand mānuka honey. It provides independent assurance to consumers that the mānuka honey they buy is pure, potent, and authentically sourced from New Zealand.The UMFHA created the UMF™ trademark, which serves as a \"gold standard\" quality mark to differentiate authentic, high-quality mānuka honey from adulterated or lower-grade alternatives.

I enjoy being involved in a diverse range of activities and keeping busy. Right now, that involves several directorships as well as setting up the best little consulting company. My 5 children have all left home so I have a lot more flexibility regarding new and exciting projects.\'Eclectic\' is probably the right way to describe my previous jobs which ranged from physiotherapist to medical researcher, school gala specialist and Member of Parliament (with several others in between).I was in the Army Reserve for10 years but now have to find my own motivation to get the walking shoes on regularly. I love the outdoors, boating and like the idea of fishing - unfortunately the fish are mostly winning.As for interests, I\'m a piano playing, flower growing, tramping, camping, wine sipping, beach walker. And being a grandmother is the best job of all!
