ABOUT ROY SLACK
Over 40 years of mine contracting, consulting, and business management experience. I am currently an independent board member of Torex and of Cementation. I served as President of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum from 2019 to 2020. I am an active member and executive of the CIM Northern Gateway branch and Toastmasters. I was a member of the inaugural Prevention Council for workplace safety in the province of Ontario. I am very proud to have helped build the Cementation group in North America, a company that puts people ahead of profits, and that truly lives by a safety first value system and a \"best for project\" philosophy. Cementation supports me in my work with the CIM and have retained me on their board and I greatly appreciate their support. Specialties: Substantial experience and technical papers written in the areas of shaft sinking, safety, innovation and contract formats. Presentations also made on business management and strategic planning.
