Lead oracle database activities for Application team as primary and application lead DBA. Oracle Database upgrades from 11G and 12C to 19C in oracle cloud (OCI) and ODA. Patched oracle databases with recent security patch releases following the SDLC. Built new databases with DBUA, with tablespace encryption and migration. Performance tuning to resolve memory issues using OEM, AWR reports and queries. Troubleshoot Golden Gate gaps and abended errors. Configured RAC services for clients and teams’ connectivity with preferred and available nodes. Fine-tuned slow running queries to resolve bottlenecks and performance degradation. Performed ASM activities, resolving diskgroups redundancy and disks rebalancing issues. Configured optimized and cost-effective initialization parameters for databases. Created databases in OCI using pbrun and dbaascli utilities. Created OCI buckets for backup storage and refresh of other environments and namespaces. Configured users’ security policies through OCI identity access management, user groups etc. Automated gold copies of critical schemas and refresh through bash shells using datapump. Developed and documented requirements with client for migration from on-premises to AWS. Created migration deliverables including ADDR report, blueprints and build sheets for migration to AWS RDS and EC2 instances. Build RDS with cost effective instance classes and types for oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Aurora Postgres, on single AZ, multi AZs and multi regions, including read replicas. CloudFormation templates, IAM users, groups policy creation and security groups subnetting. Used ansible playbook to deploy RDS instances, security groups and CloudWatch. Created DMS source and target endpoints, replication tasks migration to AWS. Configured maintenance windows on RDS instances including snapshot backups. Leveraged SCT to convert schemas, migration with DMS and CDC.
