About Roy Denoon

I\'m a wind engineer with a particular interest in finding simple solutions to wind engineering challenges, whether this is through consulting or wind tunnel testing. I aim to provide clients with the information that they need in formats that allow them to integrate the results into their design processes as seamlessly as possible. Specialties: Tall building design for wind effects, wind-induced motion in tall buildings, wind loading on long-span roofs, and pedestrian wind conditions.

   At CPP I lead the Structures team responsible for wind engineering of buildings and structures including structural loading, cladding pressures, and pedestrian wind effects. This covers consulting, wind tunnel testing and field monitoring for projects across the globe.From 20••••10 I was largely based in Dubai where I set up CPP\'s local office. I was also instrumental in starting our laboratory in Sydney. Key projects for which I have been responsible at CPP include the wind tunnel testing for the Marina Bay Sands complex in Singapore and development of the field instrumentation and client interface for Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
