Spearhead the creation of a new Communications & Outreach team which uses a mix of strategies to establish robust connections between the county’s chief civil law office and the public. Serve as a core member of senior leadership and advise the elected County Attorney on internal and external affairs. • Created a new Communications & Outreach team including setting overall structure and vision, developing guidelines, processes, and branding and messaging that led to being awarded the 2023 Government Communications Team of the Year by PRSA Houston. • Advised executive leadership and senior directors in the office on public affairs, messaging, and general communications strategy and lead crisis communications when relevant. • Develop written materials including press releases, internal briefing documents, website copy, and brochures that cover a variety of topics including environmental, public health, voting, and county administrative procedures. • Orchestrated the successful implementation of community outreach endeavors, including the nationally acclaimed High School summer program, fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. • Serve as a liaison with other local, state, and federal governmental offices and advocacy groups.
