   Recruited to represent the American Red Cross (ARC) in building, managing, and leading strategic partnerships with emergency management personnel, elected officials, government agencies, and business and community organizations across Texas and the nation.* Serve as the State Disaster Relations Liaison representative for ARC, operating within the Texas Department of Emergency Management’s State Operations Center (SOC) alongside emergency managers from state agencies, NGOs, and key stakeholders during disaster response events in Texas, as well as deploying for national response events.* Act as the primary liaison for ARC with elected officials, addressing inquiries and concerns from community representatives and providing comprehensive responses to information requests about ARC’s disaster response activities.* Communicate across multiple teams to educate officials and their staff on disaster response protocols and procedures, ensuring clarity and coordination during emergency response efforts.* Serve as Liaison for Capitol Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) Homeland Security Task Force; serve on CAPCOG planning committees: Training and Disaster Exercise Planning and Regional Planning committees.
