ABOUT ROXANNA FORD

I found passion in people. I thought my dream was teaching. I thought I would be inspired and fulfilled teaching high school English. I started on this path with a BA in English, but through my work earning this degree I learned that a traditional teaching role would not be my life’s work. I had picked teaching because all I had been was a student, and now my experience as a student had taught me that teaching wasn’t for me. As I experienced different elements in life, my path changed. After University I got an entry-level job and started working at a large company. I learned a lot: strategic planning, forecasting, supply chain,logistics. I learned how businesses operate and, most importantly, I saw firsthand that people were the greatest resource in an organization. And that’s when it happened. My passion for people was born. I pursued this passion with a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching, working as a career coach, and now formally getting a Human Resources Management education and working towards my CPHR designation. My specialties include coaching, business strategy, human resources, problem resolution, and customer service. I have a strong work ethic and I learn new skills quickly. I am enthusiastically adding human resources skills and am looking to connect with other HR professionals.
