ABOUT ROXANA SIERRA
I am a 3L at American University Washington College of Law pursuing a legal education in public international law, human rights law, and movement and community lawyering in areas of immigration, social and racial equity and justice. My law school experiences include presenting Know Your Rights presentation to hundreds of detained immigrants in Louisiana detention centers, researching immigration statutory and regulatory, and working on a collaborative client ready document in the field of international law with an emphasis on prosecutorial and criminal legal precedent for ongoing conflicts. My interests and passions lie at a unique intersection of serving the community and providing critical legal analysis for impacted communities, focusing on immigrant and refugee populations, to address and dismantle the systemic barriers to justice at the domestic and international level.
