About Roxana Rodriguez-Becker
I am a community taught Software Engineer thanks to Scrimba, 100devs, and freeCodeCamp, but have been a freelance web developer and content creator for about a decade. As a frontend web developer I use HTML, CSS, Javascript, Figma, and Git Workflow. I am currently learning about Unit Testing and React. As a former blogger I am familiar with Google Analytics, Wordpress, and Adobe Creative Cloud. With over 15 years of professional work experience in education and my enthusiasm for learning, I would require a shortened ramp up time. Over the years I have participated in a variety of team roles and am articulate and diplomatic in both spoken and written form. My history in math education shows that I can break down complex concepts for easier understanding, and my background in library and information science makes me a thorough researcher. If I don\'t know an answer, I am resourceful enough to find it. I\'ve created a web application that assists \"medically complex\" families and fills a gap in the medical community. It returns the information necessary to complete a tube feed, and has already helped many. I am personable, easy-going, and have a fun sense of humor:) Some fun facts about me: I created my first website on Angelfire when I was 15 years old. I played for Houston Roller Derby as a jammer for 5 years. My dad\'s job moved us around a lot when I was a kid, and I even spent a couple years in Saudi Arabia. I am a first generation Cuban-American.
