These are invaluable when there is a small in-house legal team.\"My work covers a wide range of commercial disputes but particularly those with an IT or construction focus. In the technology sector my clients frequently seek my advice when IT projects have not gone according to plan and I advise both customers and suppliers. In the construction field this includes dealing with a wide range of clients including employers, contractors and sub-contractors resolving cases through adjudication, litigation and mediation. It also involves advising clients of their position at a pre-action stage to enable them to manage their contracts and try to avoid disputes. There is a close connection between my work in the IT and construction fields as many of the problems faced have similar causes such as poorly defined scope, mismatched expectations and delay. My focus is always on working with my clients to achieve commercial and pragmatic solutions to problems they encounter. The result is that management is able to get on with what it does best – running the business rather than being distracted by litigation.I have been recognised in the Legal 500 as a Leading Individual. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
