ABOUT ROWAN MCALLISTER
A geologist by background, leading BHP\'s Commercial Sales and Marketing for EMEA. Our aim is to realise maximum value for our products and support sustainability initiatives in our downstream supply chain. Currently, Marketing Manager for EMEA. Rowan led the sanctioned US$4,9B Jansen Stage 2 potash project and the US$1,3B BMC divestment (Met Coal), and the Cerrejón divestment (thermal coal) for Marketing from due diligence to completion. Prior to this he focused on the long term planning, technical marketing, commercial strategy and sales placement for Met coal. Rowan worked in BHP\'s Met coal logistics team and managed the week zero deviation of the supply chain, rail, ports, planning, blending, quality, and shipping/rail logistics for BHP\'s assets in Queensland, Australia. Rowan has worked as a mine and exploration geologist for BHP, Anglo American, Glencore, petroleum majors, POSCO & FQM.
