ABOUT ROWAN PARNELL

I am an ARB-registered Architect with over 15 years of experience designing, leading, and delivering architectural projects across London and the UK. From 20••••22, I was a Founding Partner and Director at Architecture Initiative, a multi award-winning design practice based in Central London. I successfully helped grow and manage the business, as well as overseeing technical design and delivery of all projects, while managing design, staff, outputs, resources, QA, recruitment, productivity, and profitability across the studio. I was heavily involved in all aspects of management and design, at all project stages, with specific responsibility for design development, project delivery and construction.In 2022 I decided to focus on my passion - delivering projects - and became a Design Manager at Gensler. As a Design Manager and architect, it’s my role to lead and deliver a variety of projects of different types and scales, through all design and construction phases. I’m part of the Architecture team of design thinkers and doers based in our 250 strong London studio. It\'s my job to use my knowledge of the design and delivery process to mentor junior staff and encourage the highest level of design and client satisfaction.Gensler is not like most architecture and design firms; it’s the world’s largest and leads the way in design research, innovation, and a commitment to a net zero future.
