ABOUT ROWAN MARSDEN
Rowan is a seasoned leader in enterprise-wide transformation, currently serving as a leader within the Global Transformation Office in the Office of the CI & OO at Marsh McLennan’s Business and Client Services (BCS). Since joining MMC in 2019 through the acquisition of JLT, she has driven strategic initiatives across technology, operations, digital, and organizational change.Her journey began as Group IT Change Director within MGTI, where she played a key role in the JLT Integration Program. She then advanced to a transformation role within MMC Tech’s Office of the CIO, supporting the successful delivery of the Building MMC Tech Program. In this capacity, she led initiatives in Enterprise Architecture, Dev Center of Excellence, Agile, and Data, as well as multiple workstreams for the READY: program focusing on Organization & Process, Vendors, and Technical Strategy. This multi year program was multi-year program aimed at accelerating technology delivery, supporting digital strategies, driving financial savings, enhancing colleague engagement, and enabling data-driven insights for clientsCurrently, Rowan leads enterprise-wide transformation programs sponsored by the Executive Committee, namely the Thrive program, aimed at achieveing $400M in cost savings over the next three years through automation, AI integration and operational efficiencies.Her expertise encompasses strategic and enterprise transformation consulting and execution, portfolio and program management, change management, and large-scale IT and business transformation initiatives. A passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Rowan has served as Chair of the Women in Technology Board and is a recognized leader in fostering inclusive tech environments.Prior to MMC, Rowan was Head of Programme Management and Acting Head of Digital Qualification Services at Pearson in London. She holds an MA Joint Honours in Economics and European Studies from the University of Dundee, is a certified Prince2 Practitioner, and possesses multiple OGC professional qualifications.
