Teach Kentucky enlists highly motivated college graduates to teach in Kentucky’s public schools, enhancing both quality of education and civic life in the greater Louisville area. As Founder and President, I am responsible for recruiting the brightest and most ambitious young teachers to work in local public education. Our teachers obtain their masters degree and teaching certification during their first two years of teaching, allowing them to truly launch as successful educators. Since our inception, we have recruited 232 teachers, 141 of whom are still residing in Kentucky. Of those who leave Kentucky upon completion of the program, roughly half remain in the classroom, giving us an 86% retention rate in the education
