   Technical work- Function as subject matter expert for high strain rate testing- Shadowed the lead test engineer for three months to learn the logistics of existing test capabilities - Assessed existing team dynamics and processes to ensure streamlined capability expansion- Work with technicians to streamline procedures and standardize data collectionExternal communication, team building, and hiring- Established a multi-year university contract for them to conduct parallel research efforts - Coordinate team building events including team lunches and after hour gatherings and sport activities - Attend career fairs, conduct phone screens, and interview candidates to identify grit, personality, mentality, and technical capabilities- Provide new hire and candidate tours to showcase LLNL’s breadth of work areas and the greater Livermore community - Mentored summer interns by connecting them to subject matter experts, providing access to essential equipment, and informing them of LLNL policies and standards
