Passionate Leader with Expertise in Strategic Communications, Community Partnerships, and AdvocacyAs a formerly undocumented immigrant who has navigated and thrived in complex systems, I bring a unique perspective and unwavering commitment to fostering equity and empowering communities. With over a decade of experience in strategic communications, community partnerships, and advocacy, my work is rooted in resilience, collaboration, and a deep passion for creating meaningful change.In my current role as the Community Partnerships & Strategy Associate Partner at Bay Ed Fund, I lead initiatives that connect stakeholders across nonprofit, civic, and educational sectors to enhance educational equity and strengthen community resilience. My work focuses on building coalitions, developing strategic frameworks, and implementing impactful programs that address the needs of underserved communities.Previously, as the Community Engagement Lead at Peninsula College Fund, I successfully directed community engagement efforts, including managing program budgets, recruiting and training mentors, and leading grant acquisition efforts. My work significantly improved program sustainability and expanded opportunities for first-generation college students.My background also includes managing immigration legal clinics, leading youth-focused programs, and coordinating large-scale community initiatives. These roles, combined with my lived experience as an immigrant, have shaped my ability to address complex challenges and foster meaningful partnerships. I also proudly serve as a Board Member and Fundraising Co-Chair for El Concilio of San Mateo County, where I advocate for equitable access to resources and opportunities.Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Sacramento, and completed a study abroad program at Middlesex University in London, which broadened my global perspective on equity and community engagement.
