ABOUT ROSS GONZALES
I am a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) with a educational background and 10+ years’ work experience in chemical and process engineering as well as 2+ years’ work experience in project engineering. My work experience has primarily been in the oil & gas industry, including both offshore upstream and onshore midstream sectors, with areas of specialization in: front-end engineering design; design basis development; conceptual block flow diagram development; process flow, safety flow and piping & instrumentation diagrams development; process simulation development; material & energy balances development; detailed process engineering/design (vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, control valves, piping & instrumentation); heat media systems design; overpressure scenario analysis; relief device sizing; flare & vent systems design; emergency depressurization systems (blowdown); and process engineering discipline lead management & project engineering (i.e, scope, budget, schedule, deliverables, management of change, etc.). I strongly value continuous improvement. Every day presents new challenges that are opportunities for bettering oneself, one’s team and one’s organization. I have interest in both technical engineering & engineering management. I also enjoy entrepreneurial thought/discussion. I would like to possibly enroll in an MBA program in the future. I intend to combine my technical engineering background with a specialization in management, business, organizational/public affairs or a combination thereof. I highly regard companies who encourage employees to further their education through internal training programs and/or sponsorship for external training programs, career development, and continued education. I completed my B.S. degree in chemical & biomolecular engineering at Tulane University, with a minor in cell & molecular biology, and my M.S. degree in chemical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. I am a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the National Society for Professional Engineers, and the Louisiana Engineering Society. I hold licenses in Professional Engineering in chemical engineering in the great states of Louisiana (LA#39449) and Texas
