I am a laid-back but hard-working engineer with deep expertise in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and data acquisition & analysis. I have developed globally recognised bespoke OEE solutions and have extensive experience deploying pre-packaged OEE solutions across the manufacturing sector. This has given me a profound understanding of the requirements of a manufacturing company, particularly within IT and OT environments.My background in creative journalism has honed my communication skills, enabling me to build strong cross-functional relationships and effectively convey technical information at all levels. I excel in explaining complex concepts to non-technical colleagues, providing in-depth insights to engineering colleagues, and presenting information through various methods to colleagues at all levels.Throughout my career, I have worked closely with IT departments, gaining a high-level understanding of IT infrastructure, databases, cybersecurity, Active Directory, and more. My ability to bridge the traditional gap between IT and OT functions allows me to communicate shop floor requirements to IT colleagues while understanding IT constraints. This skillset accelerates the deployment of IT-related improvements in manufacturing environments while ensuring cybersecurity is always top of the agenda.I am passionate about OT strategic development, championing the use of data, and utilizing IoT and related technologies to modernize production environments. I am always keen to hear about opportunities to further develop my skills and help companies advance their operations.
