I specialise in non-contentious construction and engineering legal matters with 12 years experience in the sector.I can assist with- advising on construction procurement options- drafting and negotiating standard form JCT and NEC construction contracts- drafting and negotiating bespoke construction contracts, professional appointments, sub-contracts, collateral warranties, performance bonds and parent company guarantees; and- advising in respect of the construction legal aspects of development agreements, agreements for lease and licences for alterations.I have experience acting for Developers, Corporate Occupiers, Funders, Contractors and Sub-Contractors.Relevant experience to date includes- acting for various large developers in relation to residential developments, commercial developments and mixed use developments, drafting and negotiating building contracts, professional appointments and collateral warranties and liaising with the developers\' funders and purchasers and tenants of the development- advising several large developers of student accommodation in respect of the construction of various developments throughout the UK. I assisted in negotiating the building contract, professional appointments and collateral warranties and managed the post completion warranty process. I have been involved in several large transactions involving the sale of several student accommodation sites and has also been involved in several large-scale refinancing transactions involving a similar number of sites- advising several schools, colleges and Universities in respect of the construction of new premises and/or the refurbishment of existing premises- representing funders providing finance for commercial developments and advising them on construction related legal issues.
