WORK HISTORY
Executive Director of Experimental Immunology @Recursion
Oxford, GB
In my role as I&I Team Lead at Recursion, I help lead our efforts within the strategic partnership with Sanofi for immunology. My team is at the forefront of leveraging Recursion\'s expansive Maps of Biology and Chemistry to uncover and validate novel drug targets in the immunology space. We are committed to exploring previously unknown areas of disease biology, with a core focus on experimental validation of these new targets in highly disease-relevant assay systems. Crucially, we integrate our experimental findings with precision medicine genomics data obtained through our key partnerships with Helix and Tempus. This comprehensive approach allows us to provide robust evidence for the differentiation of potential medicines and their capacity to address critical patient unmet needs.Furthermore, my team plays a vital role in translational drug discovery for late-stage projects. We plan rigorous preclinical studies, both in vitro and in vivo, to thoroughly evaluate drug efficacy, safety, and pharmacodynamics. A key aspect of our contribution is the identification and validation of biomarkers to predict patient response and inform stratification strategies, ultimately supporting the progression to IND-enabling studies.
