Produced exhibition and public program series featuring MacArthur Fellow Guillermo Gómez-Peña called \"thrilling\" by the Chicago Tribute-Guided the museum\'s response to the global pandemic by producing a dozen virtual public programs and returning to in-person programs in 2022. Public engagement focused on women’s suffrage commemoration, women’s rights and agency, and challenges to the hegemonic structure of museums-Guided the production of new educational materials that became the backbone of a City-wide partnership with Chicago Public Library summer initiative \"City of Stories\" that reached tens-of-thousands of Chicago’s youth and families-Facilitated new partnerships with five regional libraries to develop a virtual tour that has reached tens-of-thousand virtual visitors and made possible dozens of educator-led virtual tours-Developed, managed and produced a robust multi-year exhibition program (13 exhibitions since 2016) that engaged University of Illinois students, faculty, and Chicago community members annually-Developed, managed and produced a rigorous public program series (over 100 programs since 2016) including: youth-led conversations, artist-led workshops, scholarly lectures, and community conversations that invigorate ongoing conversation in the communities the museum serves-Coordinated a team of contractors, art handlers, and graduate students to transfer 5,500 items in the museum collection to a new off-site storage facility-Supervised and developed graduate assistantships and undergraduate internships for museum and classroom based learning experiences.

ABOUT ROSS J.
Ross Stanton Jordan is a curator interested in the confluence of politics, history, and visual culture. He is the curator at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, Chicago’s dynamic monument to democracy. At the museum and independently, Ross has produced dozens of exhibitions and one hundred public programs that connect the social justice issues of the past to the present-day demands for social equity via collaborations with artists, scholars, and community-based organizations. Ross has held curatorial fellowships at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, Independent Curators International/Joyce Foundation, and the American Association of Museums. In 2022, Newcity Magazine named Ross one of the top 50 Chicago arts administrators working to make a more equitable and sustainable arts world. In 2024, The Chicago Tribune named Ross, along with his colleagues at Hull-house, Chicagoans of the Year in Museums. He holds a studio arts degree from Connecticut College and dual master\'s degrees in art history and arts administration and policy from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
