In this role my responsibilities are:* Act as principal point of contact with ship build teams and combat systems delivery teams for all matters concerning the installation of combat systems equipment and outfit of combat compartments on board the ship* Monitor combat systems owned compartments build and outfit completion with a particular focus on EMC, Clean Grading and Security requirements for combat compartments, including the support of commissioning path audits and control of any rework requirements* Responsible for the implementation and management of a safe systems of work process during the commissioning phase covering platform systems isolations/Radhaz/Shiphaz* Responsible for the implementation and management of combat systems maintenance covering in-build to operational maintenance until the ship reach\'s vessel acceptance dated using the Royal Navy\'s UMMS system* Responsible for ensuring that combat systems engineers are SQEP to operate and maintain equipment to support the combat systems trials program * Lead the combat systems plan of the day/plan of the week, taking input from Testing & Commissioning, Engineering Delivery Teams and OEM\'s to ensure that all ship activities are co-ordinated and clashes de-conflicted

A highly motivated, skilled and ambitious CEng with an MSc in Engineering Management along with over 16 years of experience working on complex systems for the Royal Navy’s newest warships. I have a competent knowledge of engineering processes and procedures whilst working in a project driven environment with the ability to prioritise work to reflect business/customer needs. Keen to progress and develop new skills that will benefit not only myself but the business I work for. A committed individual who always gives one hundred percent with the ability to provide in depth engineering knowledge and build on previous experience. During the Queen’s Silver Medal Course conducted by the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, my abilities were assessed. A report was conducted on my skills and after the report, a short interview with directors of companies within the ship building industry, I received the Derek Kimber Medal Award for the Best Craftsman in the UK 2012. The report described me as the following:• A well-balanced individual never appearing out of depth in the face of adversity • Displaying good powers of reasoning • Rational, logical and well thought out decision making and made key inputs during the programme• Has the ability to articulate ideas and opinions in a convincing manner, displaying the self-confidence and air of authority associated with many successful individuals• Ambitious and determined individual, possessing clear ambitions and propensity to learn.
