ABOUT ROSS FIDDES

I’ve worked in the television industry for over a decade, having started my career as a Runner for the BBC, before climbing the ladder to Presenter and Producer in recent years. With a passion for working with younger audiences, I’ve worked behind the scenes on brands such as Blue Peter, The Voice Kids, BBC Bitesize and BBC Three. However, with a real interest in sport, I’ve also carved a career as a Presenter/Reporter in the realm of Rugby League; regularly fronting coverage for the Championship and Challenge Cup on Viaplay/Premier Sports. In 2022, I was lucky enough to cover the Rugby League World Cup on the BBC, where I hosted the ‘world feed’ for the opening ceremony, as well as appearing as Touchline Reporter for games across BBC Two and Three. Following on from the success of this, I then went on to produce and host a podcast in association with the Rugby League World Cup and Community Integrated Care to highlight the positive impact of the tournament on the learning disabled community. This was a huge privilege.Furthermore, I’m heavily involved with outreach at the BBC; regularly presenting and producing the Bitesize Schools Tour, which visits hundreds of secondary schools across the UK to inspire young people about their futures. In this role, I interview a panel of guests from a number of industries, as well as navigate Q&A sessions with thousands of students across the country. I’m a proud Northerner with a passion for television broadcasting and always happy to connect on exciting opportunities.
