About Ross Enriques

I wrote my fine line of HTML code at age 10 and my interest in technology was sparked. It wasn’t until 2019, after working in both the restaurant industry and as a furniture assembly technician, that I decided to focus on and pursue my dream of becoming a developer. I first started by teaching myself and finding free online courses. Then I found Flatiron School, which gave me the full exposure to the world of Software Engineering that I was seeking. Going through Flatiron’s program, I gained experience in Ruby on Rails, React with Redux, and JavaScript. I was working at Smoothstack as a Devops Associate which I was later laid off because of the job matrket with clients. But being there I have acquired skills with Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, AWS and Ansible. My growth in software development has been vastly leveled up from working with a team and building a Capstone Project. Math was one of my favorite subjects in school and with that a love of problem-solving. I thrive on the challenge of finding an answer through trial and error. As a Full Stack Developer, I’ve come to learn and understand the process and variety of approaches available when I need to debug errors - it’s another problem to be solved! In previous positions, I’ve been able to grow into roles with greater responsibilities and more ownership. I’m curious by nature and am driven to constantly be learning, especially when it comes to technology. I’m excited to see what opportunities await, and the challenges I will overcome to reach my goals.
