   I guide and develop the next generation of leaders in public service and nonprofit management as a Unit Leader for the AmeriCorps Forest Corps and FEMA Corps programs. I oversee a cohort of 50-80 national service participants as they complete short-term, hands-on projects with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and nonprofit partners such as the American Red Cross over a 10-month, full-time term of service. • Directly oversee and mentor 10-12 Team Leaders, providing ongoing weekly coaching on project execution, member management, team dynamics, and budget oversight to ensure mission success.• Collaborate with AmeriCorps and USFS staff to establish the new Forest Corps, a program focused on reforestation and wildfire mitigation, including the development of successful projects, protocols, and support structures for Forest Corps teams.• Serve as the primary liaison between field teams and federal partners (USFS, FEMA) to ensure project objectives are met, identify emerging best practices, and resolve complex logistical challenges to maintain team effectiveness in the field.
