ABOUT ROSIE PARSONS

Upper Second Class in BSc (Hons) Geography with Ocean Science graduate from the University of Plymouth. I\'m a hard-working and determined individual with a passion for physical geography. My main interests are Coasts; coastal processes, coastal erosion, sustainable coastal management, and how climate change is impacting our coasts. My favourite modules during my studies were hydrology and geomorphology, physical and chemical processes of the ocean, catchment to coast,waves,tides and coastal dynamics and coastal geomorphology and estuaries.I have key IT skills (Microsoft word, PowerPoint, and Excel), gained throughout my studies. Throughout my degree I completed many reports which led to me gaining strong report writing skills, where I understand the key structure and tone of reports. I have key communication skills gained through my previous roles working in customer service and group work poster presentations which I could present confidently. I\'m confident when participating in group work where I\'m able to take a leadership role whilst also being able to work independently, self directing myself with study. Throughout my studies I managed my time well and stayed organised which enabled me to meet assignment deadlines, whilst also keeping a balance between studying and personal life. In the future I\'m hoping to pursue a career surrounding my passion for coasts within the coastal management/consulting sector. However I am open to any new opportunities as a recent graduate.
