ABOUT ROSIE PARKYN
Whilst I have my roots working with young people and prison inmates to produce radio which expressed their realities and sought to inform public debate in the UK, I have spent the last 15 years working to support journalism and protect the free flow of high quality information internationally. I spent ten of those at the BBC’s incredible charity, BBC Media Action, where I started out designing, developing, raising money for and implementing high impact media strengthening and multi-media programming in a number of countries in Africa. I worked with fantastic teams who were gracious enough to host me and show me the way. As Head of Policy and Advisory I worked on technical excellence and government engagement, and I then came to Internews as Director of Programmes via a role as BBC Media Action\'s Country Director in Indonesia. I have since acted as Interim CEO, Global Director of Impact and Learning and am now Senior Director of Programmes, overseeing our portfolio of international work.
