ABOUT ROSHNI ABEDIN
Experienced in designing and implementing bi-lateral and multilateral partnerships, engagement strategies, policy dialogues and programmes in the UK, USA and briefly in India. Roshni is currently Senior International Partnerships Manager at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) working closely with different government departments and ministries to deliver bilateral activities. In 2019 she was on secondment at UNDP as a Policy Specialist in the Strategic Policy Engagement Team in the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support. Prior to this she was Senior International Policy Manager on the Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) and Newton Fund activities, where she led on joint programmes with multiple partner countries. Roshni also chaired the cross-UKRI Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Group, and was co-chair of the Global Research Council (GRC) Gender Working Group. Prior to joining UKRI she worked at the Institute for International Education as well as universities in the UK and USA. Roshni has degrees in International Development with a focus on Gender and International Affairs from McGill University and Georgetown University.
