About Roshini Mootoosamy Durand

I lead the service design and innovation effort for our transportation practice to create and deliver high-value services to our public and private sector clients across the globe. As a technical lead in CDM Smith\'s Technical Services Unit, I lead transportation policy projects focused on researching and implementing alternative revenue mechanisms for our public sector clients. I enjoy leading innovation efforts, developing differentiated service offerings and delivery strategies, setting up innovative teams and partnerships, and driving growth and transformation in organizations. I’m active in the nonprofit space, and currently serving as the Vice Chair of BrightSpark Early Learning Services after spending two 2-year terms as the Finance Committee chair, Board Secretary, and most recently, as the Strategic Planning Committee chair.

   BrightSpark Early Learning Services (formerly known as Child Care Resources) helps over families across the state of Washington access child care each year and supports over 2,300 local child care providers in King and Pierce Counties. BrightSpark’s work is grounded in racial equity and social justice. We primarily serve low-income and underserved communities to improve their access to affordable, high-quality early-learning environments that give children a great start in school and in life. By serving on the board of BrightSpark, my motivation is to increase each child’s access to high-quality early learning opportunities and help parents stay in the workforce.
