ABOUT ROSHAN ABBAS

Storytelling Consultant | Culture Entrepreneur | Co-founder, KommuneI’ve spent five decades on stage, literally. Started at 4, never stopped.Today, I help senior leadership teams discover their authentic voice through storytelling. Because in a world of polished decks and corporate speak, the stories that move markets are the ones that move people first. What I Do Now:I run storytelling workshops for organizations that understand narrative isn’t decoration: it’s strategy. Recent clients include Deloitte, HSBC, DBS Bank, Netflix, Meta, Kotak, Motilal Oswal, and the Economic Times Summit.I also mentor creators and organizations on content strategy, and produce branded content for L&T, Tanishq, Diageo, and Asian Paints. How I Got Here:25 years across radio, TV, theatre, and live events gave me 100+ cities worth of stage time. Founded Encompass in (acquired by WPP, 2008) because I was tired of saving badly planned shows. Directed my first feature film under Red Chillies Productions. Won awards I’ve forgotten about. Served on the Cannes Promo Lions Jury when that still meant something.Co-founded Kommune, now Asia’s largest performing arts collective because storytelling shouldn’t live only in boardrooms. The Work:I teach executives what performers know: vulnerability isn’t weakness, it’s connection. Authenticity isn’t a buzzword, it’s a discipline. And the best stories aren’t told, they’re lived first. Have crafted frameworks that work in 2/4 hour sessions. Also: Angel investor (GSF), culture consultant for brands navigating India’s complexity, and advisor to Slam Out Loud (arts education for underserved communities).Currently:Writing a feature film and creating an OTT series. Still believe the best stories happen when you get off the deck and onto the stage. If your organization wants to learn how story moves strategy, let’s talk — DM me directly.
