ABOUT ANNJANETTE ANJIE ROSGA

BlackLivesMatterDr. AnnJanette (Anjie) Rosga is the Deputy Director of the Center for Evaluation Innovation (CEI). Anjie is a researcher, trainer and facilitator with more than two decades of experience with organizations devoted to progressive, systems-level social change. She holds a Ph.D. in the History of Consciousness (interdisciplinary studies), with an emphasis on the cultural study of law, crime, and violence. She served as an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Knox College in Illinois and later at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Prior to CEI, Anjie was a partner and co-director of the Oakland CA-based consulting firm, Informing Change for more than 10 years. She has provided research and consulting services to dozens of US-based nonprofits, foundations, government agencies, networks, and multi-sector collaboratives. She has also consulted with several United Nations agencies (UNDPKO, UNFPA, UNOHCHR, UNDP, and UNICEF) on topics related to post-war peacekeeping, law enforcement, human rights, bias-related violence, human trafficking, and gender and security sector reform and directed an international women’s peace NGO with ECOSOC consultative status to the UN Security Council.Anjie’s projects typically involve strategic learning and evaluation of highly complex initiatives aiming to increase racial and intersectional equity, bring about systems change, affect local, state, or national policy, or build capacity for effective leadership and organizational learning. Her clients have included the Annie E. Casey, California Wellness, CARESTAR, David and Lucille Packard, Gates, Hewlett, Jim Joseph, Kresge, and Sherwood Foundations, the California State University Student Success Network, Pivotal Ventures, ReflectUS, RepresentWomen, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and the Stanley Center for Peace and Security (formerly The Stanley Foundation).
