About Rose Whitney

I’m a director who has found success in the strategic planning and data analytics sector of the health care industry. My interest in data analytics began as a financial analyst with Providence Health Care. In that role, I was responsible for building tools to assist leadership in strategic decision making. I loved the analytics, and to further develop that skill set, I took the position of a strategy and business development consultant.As a strategy and business development consultant, I had extensive responsibilities across the organization, from project management of mergers and acquisitions to strategic planning for service lines and facilities. I was also actively engaged in the startup of the Population Health department and fell in love with the combination of uncharted territory, analytical thinking, and strategic initiative planning.In my next role, I led the service line and held direct responsibility for the success of Population Health within Providence Health Care in Spokane, WA. I was responsible for planning initiatives and operational changes to increase value-based revenue, decrease the cost of health care, and improve customer (patient and provider) satisfaction. Change management was an essential component of that role, as the Providence organization quickly moved from volume-based to value-based reimbursement.
