About Rose Par
I am an undergraduate studying Criminal Justice, Counseling, and Social Work, focused on how legal services and counseling resources can be improved to support those navigating the complexities of the justice system. As a Burmese Chin student, my commitment is strengthened by the significant underrepresentation of my community in this field with little access to professionals who can provide support rooted in shared experience.I transitioned into Indiana University through the Groups Scholars Summer Program, where I strengthened my discipline and work ethic, earning a 4.00 GPA in my first semester. On campus, I work as a Front Office Assistant for the Groups Scholars Program, 21st Century Scholars Program, Hudson & Holland Scholars Program, and FASE Mentoring Program. I was selected as one of two freshman representatives for the Myanmar Student Association, where I contribute to leadership and community-building efforts.
