ABOUT ROSE MCARTHUR
I am a Director in Local Government and Board Chair. I have global experience of leading large teams empowered to deliver complex transport strategy, highways functions and transport infrastructure. I have worked for Local Government, Sub-Regional Groups, National Government and the Private Sector. Throughout my career I have developed and delivered macro transport programmes across multiple stakeholders from inception to end state. I am currently the Director of a fundamental, busy, universal Unitary Council service. Covering the safe delivery of the Highways service, strategic transport, infrastructure delivery, investment into transport, climate change and transport commissioning. I am supported by the fact that I have worked with some of the worlds best on projects that include the London 2012 Olympics, the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and the surface access strategy for London Heathrow airport. As well as working with the Cities of Sydney and Melbourne to help them manage long term travel disruption, due to their infrastructure build programme. My passion is to create and lead complex teams and programmes that result in proven outcomes - never losing sight of the Why. Trusted by my peers I have a positive reputation for technical rigour and outstanding project delivery. I am current chair of Transport for the North Executive Board and Growth Track 360 Officer Board.
