I am managing partner of Another Option LLC a communication firm that specializes in social and behavior change communication, advocacy, and risk communication related to international development. Established in May 2012, it is a woman-owned small business based in the US. I specialize designing and implementing global health communication programs, and have worked extensively on HIV and AIDS, Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition, Family Planning, Malaria and Ebola in Africa and South Asia. With Another Option, I have provided strategic health communication support to the World Bank, USAID, WHO and UN projects that addressed gender based violence, non-communicable diseases, community mobilization for Ebola and advocacy for girls education. I also developed a communication strategy and messaging for a World Bank project on service delivery indicators in Africa. In US health, I recently oversaw the Great Challenges Program for TEDMED at their conference in San Francisco, where I facilitated group discussions about key health and science topics and engaged the participants and advisers in shaping the future direction of the program.
