I am a strategist, reporter, writer, and editor. I have developed and executed communications strategies for architects and designers for 27 years that align and advance strategic organizational goals. Components of this work include: • Gathering qualitative and quantitative information to discern its significance, most effective tenor, and appropriate modes of distribution. • Determining brand voice or tailoring content to ascribe to a defined brand voice. • Translating abstract, technical information to create compelling content for lay audiences. • Creating and directing the creation of content to advance thought leadership. • Pitching and placing content in national and trade media. • Measuring the effectiveness of strategies and adjusting given feedback. I am a former reporter for the Associated Press and news correspondent and feature writer for Architectural Record. Published in books, journals, and national media, my accomplishments also include the conceptual development, writing, editing, and placement of content in The New York Times, Wired, Fast Company, Arup Journal and many trade media. I hold a bachelor\'s degree from Northwestern University\'s Medill School of Journalism and a master\'s degree in environmental design from Yale University’s School of Architecture.
