Rose Fernandez is a beauty industry executive with broad and deep experience, having worked through the ranks, starting on the retail beauty floor. Over the past +25 years she has served key commercial and marketing leadership roles, most recently as the CEO with a microalgae focused biotech skincare brand. Rose\'s experience and relationships span the prestige and professional channels and retailers; Sephora, ULTA, QVC, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, TJX, Costco, Whole Foods, Massage Envy, and regional & specialty chains. Her operational experience has been developed across founder led, private equity and publicly owned businesses. A passionate leader focused on building brands through differentiation, financial and analytical rigor, driving solutions, developing strong teams and productive manufacturing, supplier, agency and retailer relationships. Rose has worked across the globe with experience in North America, China and EU, developing and executing strategies that create significant and sustainable value. A featured speaker at the WWD Beauty Summit (2019), a sought after guest speaker on podcast & panelist such as Skincare Anarchy, The Reboot Chronicles, The Impact Effect and for PWBC & Kaiser Permanente - Leading from the Center and featured in industry publications such as The Beauty Independent, GCI, WWD, Glossy, Cosmetics Design. Rose earned a BS in Marketing from the University of Phoenix while running a sales organization. She has served as an Instructor and Advisory Board Member with the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). Core to her success is self development, continuous learning and a curiosity for innovation. She enjoys mentoring the beauty industries next leaders. In between the focused work, you can find Rose outdoors, in the sand playing beach tennis, playing with and training dogs, spending meaningful time with family and friends, and experiencing new adventures.
