ABOUT RO THOMPSON
My name is Roseanne Stacey. Having graduated from De Montfort University with a BA hons in Footwear Design in July 2013, I have been working as an Assistant Buyer for Shuropody between February 2014 until present. My enthusiasm and time keeping with deadlines as well as my passion within all aspects of footwear drive me forward to fulfill the best of my potential. Whilst working with Shuropody, I have been evolved in the day-to-day buying processes within the footwear company. This includes taking part in selection meetings both within the company\'s own brand and selection meetings with other UK brands. I have visited shoe fairs both within the U.K. And Europe, meeting with suppliers and selecting samples. Developing samples to suit the needs of the customer from the initial stages through to confirmation samples and artwork. I have also assisted with other areas including merchandising and stock control. My comfort and ability with Photoshop and Illustrator has allowed me whilst at university to create my own fabric prints which have been used within my footwear designs and within the industry has allowed me to photograph and edit the photos for the company website. I am passionate about all areas of footwear, from the design process, watching and developing my designs right through from initial research stages to the production of the final prototype. Also selecting and buying products to suit the customer and carrying out customer focus groups to ensure our selections are meeting customer needs.
