ABOUT ROSE SISK
I am health data scientist and statistician passionate about harnessing advanced analytics to improve patient outcomes and the provision of healthcare globally. My main research interests lie in the secondary use of real-world health data.I have a PhD in Health Informatics from the University of Manchester (2022), and a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Statistics from the University of Glasgow (2014). My PhD thesis focused on clinical risk prediction using routinely collected health data, and the associated statistical and methodological challenges. I now have over 8 years\' experience working with health data across health service, academic and industry roles. I am particularly interested in the nuances of real-world data such as electronic health records, and understanding how to overcome the challenges in performing meaningful, rigorous analysis of data that was not collected for research purposes.Highly competent in R for data processing, analysis, visualisation and reporting (including Shiny, RMarkdown, tidyverse, ggplot etc). Experience with Git, SQL, SAS, and Python (beginner). Always looking to upskill my data science toolkit: currently interested in Bayesian modelling approaches, causal inference and cloud computing resources.
