Oversee all legal operations for the organization’s (c)(3) and (c)(4) entities, serving under the General Counsel as a legal team of two;• Provide strategic guidance to the Board of Directors and senior leadership on governance, compliance, and risk;• Review, draft, advise on, and negotiate, as needed, all contracts, and manage the organization’s contract management platform;• Advise various stakeholders on a variety of matters related to nonprofit law, contracts, governance, employment law, intellectual property, privacy/cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management;• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and provide guidance to the organization\'s departments and programs;• Conduct legal research and stay informed about emerging legal and regulatory issues and trends that could impact the organization and proactively recommend appropriate action or strategies;• Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and promote best practices;• Train and guide attorneys and other staff with respect to Brennan Center mission, policies, and legal and regulatory matters;• Supervise and engage outside counsel on employment, labor, privacy and other matters; and • Support or lead on other legal matters, as needed.
